Job Description

Senior Hardware Design Engineer My client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer/Electronics Engineer to work on the design of parts of industrial computer systems. The successful engineer will be involved in the whole design process from specification through schematic design, board layout, debug, and support for initial production while also liaising with sales, test and documentation departments. The client do not have a specific CAD department, so engineers do their own schematic and layout work. Some of the work involves being the sole engineer on a project, although help and advice is always available. The key responsibilities of the role include:-

• schematic design and layout
• debug and support of both existing projects and new designs.

Primary skills required:

• Relevent academic background and degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
• Ideally 5+ years experience in digital design (especially in higher-speed design and microcontrollers)
• analogue design
• attention and concern for detail
• programming, to write and maintain test software in C
