Role Certifying Engineer (Mechanical)

Overall purpose of job
Carry out the Certification of maintenance and repair on Eurocopter rotorcraft. AS350, AS355N +F, AS365, EC120, EC130, EC135 and EC155.

Principal Accountabilities/responsibilities
* Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors. This is a certifying role that requires an EASA Part 66 Licence in A, B1.3 and C category (Turbine Rotorcraft).The ability to work as a team leader and to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
* Working knowledge of EASA regulations most importantly Part 145, Part M and UK ANO requirements is essential.
* Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant and mechanical and electrical systems.
* Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability.
* Supervision of maintenance fitters and the certification of their work.
* Also required to assist in day to day running of Hangar, including aircraft movement and general house keeping responsibilities.

Special requirements (equipment used, external contacts etc)
* Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems and specialised test equipment.
* Category \"C\" desirable
* Requirement for candidates with AS350, EC135 and EC155 Type ratings

Key competencies(persuasiveness, results orientation etc)
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
